Overview
This policy explains what MyScoreStore collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. We aim to collect only what we need to run a sheet-music marketplace and to keep your data with a small set of trusted providers.
Information you give us
When you create an account we collect your email address and the profile details you choose to add — display name, storefront handle, bio, and, for Pro sellers, branding such as colors and images. When you list a work we store the files and metadata you upload. If you contact support or submit a report or takedown notice, we keep what you send us.
Information from transactions
When someone buys a listing, Stripe collects the payment and provides us the buyer’s email address so we can deliver the purchase and a download link. We record order details such as the item, amount, fee, and status. We never receive or store full card numbers — card data is handled by Stripe.
Information we collect automatically
Like most online services, our providers log basic technical data such as IP address and request information to operate and secure the Service. For abuse-prevention and light rate limiting on forms (such as reports and support requests) we store a one-way hash of the IP address rather than the address itself.
How we use information
We use your information to operate your account and storefront, process and deliver purchases, provide support, prevent fraud and abuse, comply with legal obligations, and — only if you opt in — send occasional marketing email. Essential emails about your account, purchases, and payouts are sent regardless of marketing preferences because they are needed to provide the Service.
Service providers we share data with
We share data with the providers that power the Service, only as needed: Supabase (authentication, database, and file storage), Stripe (payments, seller onboarding, and payouts), and Resend (transactional and marketing email). Each processes data on our behalf under its own terms. We do not sell your personal information.
Other disclosures
We may disclose information if required by law or valid legal process, to enforce our terms, to protect the rights, safety, or property of users or the public, or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, in which case we will require the recipient to honor this policy.
Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in and to keep the Service secure. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Marketing email and unsubscribe
Marketing email is opt-in. You can change your preference at any time in Settings → Account or by using the unsubscribe link in any marketing message. Unsubscribing does not stop essential account and transaction emails.
Your choices and rights
You can view and edit your profile and email in Settings, opt out of marketing at any time, and close your account to request deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal data, or to object to certain processing. To make a request, contact us at the address below; we may need to verify your identity first.
Buyer download links
Buyers can re-request a download link from the order lookup page using their purchase email. Download links are time-limited, and access may be revoked if a sale is refunded or charged back.
Data retention
We keep account, listing, and order records for as long as needed to operate the Service and meet legal and accounting obligations. When you close your account, we anonymize your profile and remove your listings, but we retain sales records (which reference your seller account) for financial and legal recordkeeping.
Security
We use reputable providers and reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
International users
The Service and its providers may process and store data in countries other than where you live, which may have different data-protection laws. By using the Service you understand your information may be transferred and processed in those countries.
Children
The Service is not directed to children. You must be at least 18, or the age of majority where you live, to use it, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the “last updated” date above and, where appropriate, provide additional notice.
