Description

Summertime Rag composed by Chris Benson and performed in 1975 by the composer on cello with David W Solomons on guitar. The original score has gone missing, so this notation by David W Solomons is a transcription of the attached recording.
This score appears with permission of the heir of Chris Benson, who will receive a share of the proceeds.




The piece has also given rise to a choral song in Chris' memory (also available on MyScoreStore), which may be peformed by Worthing Choral Society in 2011.

The audio sample of this duet is a live performance recorded on audio cassette in 1975.
