Description

"In the Summertime" a choral song SATB with cello and guitar accompaniment) based on Chris Benson's cello and guitar duet "Summertime Rag" words and choral parts by David W Solomons.
(The original cello and guitar duet (Summertime Rag), with our original 1975 performance is also available on MyScoreStore.com)

The audio sample is an electronic preview with "vocalisestyle" choral parts sung by David W Solomons.
The first live peformance by Worthing Choral Society is planned for 2011.

This score appears with permission of the heir of Chris Benson, who will receive a share of the proceeds.
"... In the summertime when the work was done we'd take our ease and have our fun ....."

Technical note - I have added a couple of guitar bars at the beginning of the choral version, as compared with the duet instrumental version.
