Description

String quartet using mainly the octatonic mode (but with a bi-modal movement in which the viola insists on the Dorian mode mixing mysteriously with the octatonic of the other instruments).
The zip file contains scores and parts for each movement.
This was premiered by the Camerata ensemble in Manchester in 1997 but the recording is not online. However, an electronic preview of the whole quartet (using Superconductor) can be heard here:

The audio sample provided here is the third movement from the Superconductor version.
