Description

Why should the keyboard players have all the fun? Bach's 48 preludes and fugues are masterpieces of contrapuntal writing; the string is a perfect medium for music in parts, so why not bring them together?

This arrangement of the G minor Prelude from Book I (and its companion Fugue - available separately) is presented with some suggested bowing and tempo marks. Bach's original for keyboard necessarily had no dynamic markings and none have been added here to leave open the possibility of varying interpretations.
