Description

This brightly neoclassical sonata in four typically classical movements was actually a radical composition in 1971, when the modern classical movement was dominated by strict aleatoric and dodecaphonic serial atonal styles. This sonata shamelessly uses tonal centers and key signatures. The sound sample is of the first movement only.
