Description

In 1717, Duke of Chandos invited Handel to live at his palace, Canons, in Middlesex. He composed several masterpieces including Chandos Anthems and concerto grossi in a wonderful atmosphere. Chandos Anthems consist of three voices with orchestra (Oboe, Violin I/II, Bass continuo).　The texts are all based on Psalms．
Chandos Anthem No.10 "The Lord is my light" HWV255 consists of the following parts.
I. Sonata (orchestra)
II. Solo (Tenore I)
III. Solo (Tenore II)
IV. Chorus (a4)
V. Chorus (a4)
VI. Solo (Tenore I)
VII. Solo (Canto)
VIII. Chorus (a4)
