Description

Palestrina Recercare is one of nine Recerare composed for organ.

It is a brilliant example of 16th century polyphony. Each part being equal, blending together smoothly to creat a mini masterpiece.

Palestrina was immensely famous in his day spending most of his career in Rome. Documents suggest he first visited the city in 1537, when he is listed as a chorister at Santa Maria Maggiore basilica.

The zip file contains the score and all parts as PDF files for easy printing.
