Description

This is simpler than the contrapuntal harpsichord pieces it imitates. A good part of it is little more than the 5-finger D-major scale. The first time you try measure 13 with hands together, go slowly to hold the second right-hand G while you let go of the first left-hand G.

Be careful of the "loop" in measures 4 to 8 (repeated in measures 32-36). It helps to observe the fingering in measures 8 and 36.

The preparation for the ending begins with measures 39/40 repeating the previous two measures. That extension helps the listener know the end is coming. You can help by observing the "poco rit." at the end.
