Description

A virtuoso piano work commissioned by Manchester Pride to celebrate the centenary of the birth of Dame Ethel Smyth. First performed in studio 7, BBC Broadcasting House, Manchester by Stephen Combes, 18th August 2008. The work is an homage to Dame Ethel and is constructed using a series of 'poetic' variations based on her piece 'March of the Women, from 1911.
