What does it cost to publish on MyScoreStore?

December 7, 2007

Fees for our comprehensive service are standard 20% of the revenue generated by the sale of your music through our platform; you earn the remaining 80% of the sales price. By relating our fees to the revenue generated, we allow you to pay for our service only if it is generating income for you.

For Example

If you are unable to sell your music, or decide to offer it for free, you will not owe us any fees. In any case, you do not need to pay membership fees to use the platform, nor are there any hidden fees.

80-20 Explained

Our 20% fee replaces the cost of all the steps required to deliver your (otherwise) paper product to your customers. Consider for example your costs for printing, inventory, distribution and retail overhead. These costs mean that, as a publisher or composer, you usually receive a small share of the sales revenue. We have found that even in the most favourable cases, publishers or composers retain only 50% of the revenue. The majority of transactions, however, result in revenue retention in the 20% range. With MyScoreStore you are:

1. keeping a larger share of the income;

2. controlling content and price;

3. reaching more customers;

4. reducing financial risk.

Getting Paid

MyScoreStore takes care of both your collections and ecommerce fraud management. We have contracts with leading payment systems providers who can ensure a smooth and safe completion of all transactions. Your earnings will be transferred into the bank account you specified every quarter; though different frequencies can be negotiated.

MyScoreStore offers a complete and solid solution for publishing music online.
